Happy Birthday, Amarige! We hope you had a wonderful day celebrating on Monday.
Katie has created a new training session on ARFID, which we’ll be rolling out to schools and parents soon. Super exciting – more info to follow!
Natalie has made great progress on the ‘Reading for All’ project, developing learning profiles for our schools. As part of this, Jen has developed our training for schools on reading and robust interventions, which has already been shared with part of the team.
Via and Jen met with Cheryl, Strategic Lead for SEND and Inclusion at The James Montgomery Trust, and visited two schools sharing how their Integrated Resource Provisions work. It was inspiring to see how children’s needs are met while most importantly ensuring inclusion within the wider school community. The day was really enlightening and it was absolutely lovely to meet Kelly in person who is a Trainee Educational Psychologist and Doctoral student at Manchester University, who we’re supporting through a research commission on specialist curriculums in mainstream schools.
Beth attended the Reducing Exclusions Interest Group, where she heard about the Enable Inclusion Team supporting at-risk students, and Dr. Becci Dean’s research on how positive student-teacher relationships can reduce difficult behaviour and exclusions which was very interesting.
